A Kent Paedophile, Patrick Howlett, who transmitted about £56,000 to the Philippines to finance livestreamed sexual exploitation of minors has received a 30-year prison sentence after a National Crime Agency inquiry.
NCA officers initiated an investigation into Patrick Howlett, 58, from Kent, following intelligence suggesting he had executed many payments to recognised facilitators of child sexual abuse located in the Philippines.
The NCA and Filipino authorities discovered 19 youngsters throughout this inquiry who were victims of sexual abuse due to Patrick Howlett’s offences and have since been protected in the Philippines.
Patrick Howlett was scheduled to stand trial in January 2025 but entered a guilty plea before to the commencement of his trial. He received a 30-year prison sentence today (18 July) at Canterbury Crown Court. He will also be subjected to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
