A guy, Paul Ashley Newcastle Paedophile , has been incarcerated for over 11 years after confessing to multiple sexual offences in Staffordshire.

Paul Ashley, 56, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, received a total sentence of 11 years and nine months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday, January 23, for four charges of sexual conduct with a mentally unstable female and four counts of sexual assault on a female.

He was permanently placed on the Sex Offenders Register and granted an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Paul Ashley was apprehended following the commission of charges in 2022 and subsequently in 2024.

Both survivors exhibited remarkable courage in reporting these crimes to the authorities and have consistently supported the inquiry thereafter.

Detective Sergeant Becky Mulcahy, from our public protection unit, said: “I’m pleased that Paul Ashley has been punished for his heinous crimes and put behind bars.

“We’re determined to keep working hard across Staffordshire to take robust action against the people responsible for sexual crimes and to support survivors as much as possible.

“I hope results like this show how determined officers are to seek justice for victims and to help them take action against those who have subjected them to abuse.”
