The Ginger Bonhill Rapist, Paul Callanin, raped three different people in Dumbarton and the Vale is facing a lengthy spell behind bars.

Paul Callanin was found guilty of preying on three different victims in Alexandria, Balloch, Dumbarton and Renton between 2005 and 2013.

The first woman was targeted at different addresses in Alexandria.

Jurors heard how Paul Callanin, 35, pushed the woman onto a bed, held her down and raped her.

The second woman was attacked in a car park in Desire Nightclub in Balloch on Christmas Day 2011.

Paul Callanin is said to have also bitten her during the incident and shoved her onto the ground.

He the raped again to her injury that same day at a flat in Renton.

The final victim was initially subjected to a sex attack at a photography studio in Dumbarton.

Paul Callanin went on to rape them, also at a flat in Renton.

Paul Callanin, of Broomhill Crescent, had denied the accusations during a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

But, he was convicted of lewd and libidinous conduct against the first victim as well as a separate charge of raping her.

He was found guilty of two rape charges involving the second woman.

Paul Callanin was also convicted of sexual assault and raping the third victim.

Judge William Summers adjourned the case for reports until March 9, when Paul Callanin will appear at the High Court in Aberdeen.
