Police Officer PC 8331 Paul Davies

Young Person`s Dudley Police Officer, Sex Offender Paul Davies from Dudley got jailed for only 9 months. The police and CPS did an excellent job of getting him the lowest possible sentence, even though he was employed in a children’s safeguarding unit by the Police.

Paul Davies (63 now) has received a nine-month prison sentence for the creation of indecent photographs of a minor. He had continued to receive full Police salary from 2017 when he was first arrested to 2019.

On 17 January 2019, he entered a guilty plea to the charge at Dudley Magistrates’ Court.

At the time of the offence, Paul Davies was an active Police Officer operating as the Young Persons Officer for Dudley. Paul Davies encountered the 17-year-old while attending to an incident at her college. After requesting her number, Davies commenced messaging the girl. The communications took on a sexual character, and inappropriate photographs were shared.

Paul Davies had removed the screenshots of the inappropriate photos. Nonetheless, these were retrieved by the authorities after a forensic analysis of his phone.

Meloney Hughes from the CPS said: “This is a very serious case where the offender was a Young Persons Officer and exploited that position.

“He knew the victim was under the age of 18 when he contacted her and exchanged sexual images with her.

“The offender would have known that his actions constituted an offence, which is why he attempted to deleted the images.”
