A former Paedophile Metropolitan Police officer, Paul Lamb, convicted of historical sexual offences has passed away in prison. Paul Lamb was incarcerated for historical sexual abuse and rape.
Paul Lamb, 74, was sentenced to 17 and a half years in prison in May 2021 after being convicted of 19 sexual offences committed in London during the 1970s and in Yorkshire during the 1980s.
An ex-policeman, Paul Lamb, was diagnosed with breast cancer months after arriving at HMP Hull and subsequently died barely one year into his sentence, according to a prison study.
Paul Lamb committed the rape of a girl under 16 in Islington during the 1970s while employed with the Metropolitan Police.
He subsequently relocated to East Yorkshire, where he managed a children’s home for three years, during which he perpetrated two further rapes and several indecent assaults.
A report on the care Paul Lamb received in prison before his death indicated that his spouse believed a mastectomy had halted the progression of the cancer.
Nevertheless, Paul Lamb subsequently discontinued the prescribed prescription owing to his apprehension regarding potential negative effects.
His disease recurred rapidly, and Paul Lamb passed away on May 27, 2022, only hours after being informed that he had less than 48 hours to live.
