A 61-year-old Fife Paedophile, Paul Proctor, has been sentenced to six years in prison following his conviction for historical sexual offences.
Paul Proctor received a six-year sentence, retroactively effective from February 2025, at the High Court in Edinburgh on Wednesday, 14 May 2025.
Paul Proctor committed the offence on a female youngster in Fife in 1995.
In October 2020, he was reported to the police, prompting the initiation of an investigation. He was apprehended in May 2021 and found guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh on Thursday, 13 February 2025.
Detective Sergeant Ross French from the Fife Public Protection Unit stated, “Paul Proctor is a remorseless predator and is now being held accountable for his heinous actions.”
“Had it not been for the strength of his victim and other significant witnesses, Paul Proctor’s crimes may have gone unpunished. I hope that knowing he is now behind bars will offer them some sort of solace.
