An individual, Paul Thomas Middlesbrough Paedophile, who was previously imprisoned for engaging in sexual acts with children has been summoned back to court for using an alias.
Paul Thomas attended Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday following his admission of guilt for not adhering to the duties of notifying authorities as a sex offender. In 2013, the court sentenced the defendant to a substantial period of jail for committing sexual acts against children. After being released on license, the defendant must comply with lifelong notification requirements.
In summary, Judge Stephen Ashurst stated that you had a duty to inform the police if you had altered your identity or used any alternative identities. You intentionally adopted the alias of Steve Jones when you obtained a mobile phone.
“You were aware that using a fake name was inappropriate and deliberately hid that alternate identity from the public protection officer.” The court heard that this was the first instance in which the 34-year-old had violated the long-standing order, which has been in effect for a significant period.
The defendant, Paul Thomas, from Crescent Road in Middlesbrough received a four-month prison term, which has been postponed for 12 months. They also have to complete a 20-day rehabilitation program.
