A serving Metropolitan police officer, PC Dion Arnold, has been accused with several sexual offences, including rape, purportedly committed while off-duty.
PC Dion Arnold, affiliated with the South West Command Unit, was charged on 31 March with four counts of rape, two acts of assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault following an investigation by Surrey police.
PC Dion Arnold, apprehended by the Surrey police on 29 March, appeared at Guildford magistrates’ court on 31 March and was remanded in custody to next appear at Guildford crown court on 1 May.
The Metropolitan Police stated: “The charges pertain to a report filed earlier this year and actions taken by PC Dion Arnold while off duty.”
The Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified. Police Constable Dion Arnold is presently suspended from duty with full remuneration.
