After a pointless and insane hearing PC Elvis Moreira who held sexual conversations with a child has been sacked. The hearing was unsure whether to sack the police officer but finally decided that this was conduct that maybe unbecoming to a serving policeman.
The officer who exploited an 11-year-old child has been terminated without notice.
A misconduct hearing was conducted for PC Elvis Moreira of the West Area Command Unit, subsequent to allegations of inappropriate and sexual conversations with a minor between 2019 and 2020.
The incident was reported to Thames Valley Police in September 2023, prompting an immediate investigation and the suspension of PC Moreira from duty.
The case failed to satisfy the evidence criteria for criminal charges; however, it was subjected to a misconduct inquiry by the Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall, who oversees policing in west London, stated: “PC Elvis Moreira’s conduct was abhorrent and significantly deviated from the elevated standards we anticipate from our officers.”
The hearing meticulously evaluated the facts and terminated PC Elvis Moreira without prior notification.
The panel determined that the charges constituted gross misconduct and that PC Elvis Moreira violated norms of professional behaviour concerning discreditable conduct. He was promptly terminated.
PC Elvis Moreira will be added to the barred list maintained by the College of Policing. Individuals listed are ineligible for employment with police forces, local policing entities, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, or His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services.
