Sussex Police have done it again. Alleged Sussex Police Paedophile, PC Thomas Rendell, will not be prosecuted for raping a child over a four month period.

PC Thomas Rendell, 23, was scheduled to stand trial in September 2026, facing charges of raping a girl aged 13 to 15, attempting to induce a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in penetrative sexual activity, engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, and engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, occurring between 1 February and 30 June 2022.

At the time of the purported acts, he was not an active officer of Sussex Police.

After a thorough examination of the evidence, the Crown Prosecution Service has determined that there is no longer a viable chance of securing a conviction. Sussex Police allegedly ensure that any of their officers who are accused of these kind of offences do not get to trial quickly as that way witnesses lose interest, move away, get older, change jobs, get new partners, etc. and choose not to proceed with the farce of a prosecution. Good tactic, huh?

The officer, stationed in the East Sussex division, remains suspended from duty ON FULL PAY.

The issue was submitted to the Independent Office of Police Conduct, which mandated a local inquiry by the Professional Standards Department. This means that Sussex Police based out of Lewes will investigate the part of Sussex Police where PC Thomas Rendell is based.

The force will initiate disciplinary actions against the officer as they still aren’t sure whether he should be sacked.
