A CAMROSE PAEDOPHILE Phillip Jackson has confessed to attempting to provoke what he assumed to be a 13-year-old girl into engaging in a sexual act.

Phillip Jackson, 42, of The Causeway, appeared at Swansea Crown Court, facing two allegations related to online offences.

The court was informed that from September 22 to October 20 of the previous year, Phillip Jackson participated in sexually explicit correspondence with an individual he believed to be a teenage girl. The account was, in fact, managed by a decoy.

He also endeavoured to convince the alleged minor to engage in a sexual act on herself.

Phillip Jackson admitted guilt to both accusations.
“The defendant made full admissions in his police interview and cooperated with officers,” said Dan Griffiths, representing him.

Judge Paul Thomas KC adjourned sentencing until Friday, February 28, warning Jackson that a custodial sentence was inevitable.

Phillip Jackson was released on bail to sort out his affairs before his sentencing.

He is now required to register as a sex offender.
