In September 2024, a Plymouth Grooming Gang of three males was incarcerated after they exploited and assaulted three adolescent girls in Plymouth.
Following a five-week trial at Plymouth Crown Court, a jury found three men, of the Plymouth Grooming Gang, guilty of rape and sexual assault against four vulnerable young girls at alcohol and drug-fueled parties in the city between February 2017 and December 2017.
Abalzaq Salih, 31, a Kuwaiti citizen living in Plymouth, was the party organiser and founder of the Plymouth Grooming Gang. He was convicted of two rapes on girls under 16 at a party a few days before Christmas in 2017. He was jailed for 19 years.
Saif Kahya, 32, from Liverpool, who is now a father of two, was found guilty of raping a girl in 2017 and was jailed for 12 years.
Anthony Anantharajah, 35, from London, was found guilty of rape of a girl aged 16 or over in February 2017. He was jailed for 13 years.
