Prashant Ladva has received a sentence after being convicted of sexually abusing a young woman in a Watford nightclub.
Prashant Ladva, 37, of Julius Caesar Way, Stanmore, was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on Monday, July 7, following his conviction for sexual assault by touching in May of this year.
On the evening of Saturday, 14 August 2021, Prashant Ladva attended the now-closed Pryzm nightclub on Watford High Street, where he spent time dancing and consuming alcohol alone.
Subsequently, CCTV evidence saw Prashant Ladva lingering in the lobby adjacent to the cloakroom, where the victim, a female in her late teens, awaited her friend to collect their possessions.
Prashant Ladva attempted to initiate a dialogue with the victim and praised her looks prior to executing the assault. The woman escaped and informed her companions of the assault before they reported it to the police.
At the hearing on Monday, Her Honour Judge Lana Wood issued Prashant Ladva a two-year community order, which includes a mandate to perform 200 hours of unpaid work and engage in 25 days of rehabilitative activities.
His name will be listed on the Sex Offender Register for five years, necessitating that he notify the police of any alterations in his circumstances. Any violation of these terms constitutes a criminal crime. Furthermore, he was mandated to remit a surcharge, expenses, and restitution to the victim.
