After confessing to a string of sex offences against two adolescent girls, Reaquain Palmer, the Tik Tok Influencer Paedophile, an aspirant internet youtuber, has been imprisoned.
Last year, at the end of July, Reaquain Palmer came under police notice after one of his victims confessed to staff members about a sexual interaction.
Introduced initially to Reaquain Palmer personally, the schoolgirl had known of him from his viral TikTok account.
Then, at 23, Reaquain Palmer asked her back to his flat and had three separate sex sessions.
A short time later, he was arrested; he denied ever having intercourse with her but also made it quite evident he thought her to be at least sixteen years old.
He also denied phoning another student and trying to have her engage in a sexual act over the phone.
But by revealing incriminating mobile phone messages, he was aware of the actual age of the first girl but had still pursued her.
Reaquain Palmer then clearly threatened one of his victims in a foolish attempt to discredit the case against him as the inquiry went on.
Later, he admitted to three charges of having intercourse with a 13 to 15-year-old female. He also acknowledged intimidating a witness and having sexual conversations with a minor.
Reaquain Palmer, now 24, of Carlton Road, Nottingham, was imprisoned for three years and eight months after appearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday 26 July.
In addition, he was the subject of a sexual harm prevention order, which would closely monitor his future online activity and access to youngsters.
Detective Sergeant Julie Salisbury of Nottinghamshire Police remarked:
His social media usage made Reaquain Palmer well-known to many Nottingham girls. He made the most of his reputation and was delighted to hang around with teenage girls.
“That is not unlawful; instead, sexually exploiting children is illegal, as is threatening people in an attempt to discredit the court system.
“Reaquain Palmer understood that yet still decided to have sex with girls knowing to be under the age of consent.
“I am happy he has now been made to answer; I hope this case warns other young men about the possible repercussions of this behaviour.
“Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of children; we will not hesitate to come after people who damage them in this way.”
