A Chelmsford Sex Offender, Reece Park from Essex, asked for clemency in court after confessing to sexually assaulting a lady in Chelmsford. Reece Park was accused of committing the crimes of robbery and sexual assault against a woman on a rural road on September 11 of the previous year.

Prior to this, Essex Police stated that the victim was ambulating when she was approached from the rear by Reece Park, who resides on Fairway Drive in Chelmsford. The incident occurred throughout the evening in a specific location within Chelmsford.

The accused, dressed in a polo shirt and jeans, was scheduled to face trial at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday (August 19). However, he altered his plea after submitting a basis of plea entry. Prosecutors did not accept the entry, even though Reece Park changed her plea to guilty.

Reece Park, at one point, brandished a document containing a message to the public gallery and expressed: “Based on the auditory perception, my physical contact with that woman was devoid of any sexual intention.” I deeply regret subjecting this woman to such circumstances.

“I regret to inform you that I cannot accept the assertion that I had sexual intentions.” If the semantics dictate that I admit guilt in order to prevent the woman from undergoing a trial. I acknowledge that my actions were incorrect, but I accept responsibility for the choices I made. I am prepared to accept any repercussions that may arise as a result of my actions.

He stated: “God is aware of the intentions of my heart. I admit my guilt. Furthermore, I must emphasise my preference for a lifetime of incarceration over an eternity of damnation.

“I apologise for the occurrence,” he continued. I sincerely apologise. I want to avoid giving the impression that I am indifferent to what occurred. Apologies.

Nick Wayne, the defence attorney for Reece Park, stated during the hearing that his client was facing a substantial term of imprisonment. Judge Christopher Morgan informed the defendant that he would get his punishment on September 30th. Prior to sentencing, a pre-sentence report will be generated before the same court.

Upon receiving instructions to proceed to the cells, Reece Park directed his attention towards the victim’s parents, who were situated in the public gallery. He expressed that he neither anticipates nor merits your forgiveness, but he earnestly requests that you discover it within yourself.
