A disturbing predator has been sentenced to four years in prison after it was revealed that he was grooming youngsters as young as eight on the social media application TikTok.

Robert Moors, 36, of The Row, Stanton Harcourt, Witney OX29, utilised the China-owned video application to enquire about the type of underwear one of his two victims was wearing.

The 12-year-old acknowledged that they were themed around Frozen, after which the ill man requested her to engage in sexual acts, as reported by Oxford Crown Court.

He audaciously challenged the girl to instruct her brother to reveal his genitals for five seconds.

The situation became increasingly ominous when the individual, known as Goldeneye0073, transitioned the discussion to WhatsApp.

A second victim, who was ten years old when Robert Moors contacted her on TikTok, was enquired about her attire. He proposed that she discard her undergarments.

The abhorrent remarks were uncovered when the second girl approached her father, trembling and weeping, and presented him with the social media exchange.

Robert Moors was apprehended two days later, on December 21 of the previous year, and his mobile device was confiscated.

Upon examination by law enforcement specialists, the phone was discovered to contain 95 films of child sexual assault classified in the most severe category, encompassing representations of child rape.

Category B contained 75 videos, while category C comprised 65 videos. The children depicted in the videos were between the ages of six and eleven.

Robert Moors underwent two interviews and responded with “no comment” to all enquiries posed.

Sentencing him to four years of imprisonment, Judge Michael Gledhill QC stated: “You accessed TikTok, perused the publicly available content, and chose two girls who were eight and ten years old.”

You communicated with them directly and solicited sexual acts, but not the most severe, involving minors under the age of 10.

What was your motivation for doing it? For personal sexual pleasure.

Gareth James, in mitigation, characterised the situation as concerning and recognised that the custody threshold had been surpassed. His client possessed no prior convictions and submitted his guilty pleas at the earliest chance.

Robert Moors admitted guilt to instigating a girl under the age of 13 to participate in sexual behaviour and to possessing indecent photos of minors.
