Roy McKechnie paedophile rapist sex offender Peckham

A child molester rapist, Roy McKechnie the Peckham Paedophile, sexually abused two youngsters; one was sexually abused whilst the paedophile was on weekend leave from prison. The offender has been imprisoned.

Found guilty of twelve sex offences in the 1990s and 2000s, including three instances of rape of a child under the age of sixteen, 53-year-old Roy Roy McKechnie of Goldsmith Road in Peckham

Roy McKechnie was found guilty at Croydon Crown Court on February 21 despite insisting on his innocence and asserting he could not have committed one offence at a residence in Sydenham because he was in jail then.

Checks showed he received weekend leave from jail during the incident.

Thanks to the courage of his two victims, who both came forward late in 2016, Roy McKechnie was brought to justice.

In October of that year, a thirty-something lady currently in her early teens reported sexual assault she experienced in a Sydenham house in January 1992. The girl had known Roy McKechnie.

Two months later, in December 2016, another lady surfaced as police started looking into the event.

Aged in her 20s but in her early teens at the time of the abuse, she claimed Roy McKechnie, known to her family, had repeatedly sexually attacked her between 2003 and 2004.

Roy McKechnie was prosecuted and finally found guilty of three counts of rape, eight counts of sexual activity with a juvenile and one count of indecent assault.

March 29, 2019, Roy McKechnie was condemned to 19 years in Croydon Crown Court.
