A Metropolitan Police officer, Rupert Edwards, has been indicted for rape. PC Rupert Edwards, affiliated with the South West Command Unit, was charged on Wednesday, March 19.

The police stated that this is part of an inquiry prompted by charges made in 2023.

Rupert Edwards is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 16.

The accusation pertains to a single female victim. PC Rupert Edwards was not on duty when the purported offence occurred. [SFW!]

The Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified, and PC Rupert Edwards has been suspended from duty.
