A Kingston Bagpuize Paedophile from South Oxfordshire, Ryan Macer, has been incarcerated for child sex offences following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
Ryan Macer, 36, of Betteridge Close, Kingston Bagpuize, was sentenced to five years in prison during a hearing at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, May 16.
During a prior hearing at the same court, Ryan Macer admitted guilt to six charges of sexual conduct with a minor, three charges of possessing indecent photographs, and one charge each of meeting a kid after grooming, engaging in sexual correspondence with a child, and possessing extreme pornography.
In November 2023, Ryan Macer established a friendship with a teenage girl over Snapchat. He purchased gifts for her and cultivated her companionship, resulting in many meetings in the Oxford region until his initial arrest in March of the previous year.
While on police bail, Ryan Macer persisted in his criminal behaviour by engaging with the victim.
Ryan Macer was discovered to possess indecent photographs of youngsters and extreme pornography on his electronic devices.
Ryan Macer was indicted on 22 September of the previous year.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Sarah Church, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “Ryan Macer is a dangerous predator; he groomed his victim over social media, preying on her vulnerabilities for his own sexual gain.
“This verdict should send a clear message to anyone committing these crimes in our communities: you won’t get away with them and we will be resolute in pursing justice for the victims you have caused serious harm to.”
