A serial trans child sex offender, Sally Dixon, was jailed in 2023 for a minimum of 12 years and was sent to a women’s prison – despite not being legally recognised as female.

Starting her transition eighteen years ago, Sally Dixon, fifty-eight, committed crimes against seven children from 1989 to 1996 while a man.

In July, Sally Dixon was found guilty on thirty counts of indecent assault or indecency with a minor against seven victims, the youngest of these seven years old at the time.

Not guilty on three more, a jury spent 17.5 hours determining her guilty on the charges.

Ryan Richter, prosecuting, detailed an eight-year campaign of crime directed against two boys and five girls.

Living as a male, John Stephen Dixon, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the defendant was a blatant and relentless sexual predator, he told the court.

‘He deliberately mistreated young men and developed a poisonous bond with female youngsters he methodically mistreated over their childhoods.’

Originally, John Stephen Dixon, Sally Anne Dixon married twice and started living as a female in 2004.

After starting her transformation in 2004, 58-year-old Sally Dixon is to spend her incarceration at a female prison.

Though Sally Dixon’s years of crime were not revealed until a victim came forward in 2019, he was imprisoned for six months in 1997 for the sexual assault of a juvenile by-law.

Judge Van Der Zwart claimed that chances to imprison her before had been lost.

Though not formally identified as a woman, Lewes Crown Court in East Sussex heard Sally Dixon would be transported to HMP Bronzefield, where she will serve her term.

Sally Dixon sneered, scorned, and shook her head during a sentencing hearing while sporting a pink smock and pink hair.

Now vindicated, the court remarked, were the victims.

Following a fresh allegation from another victim in 2019, Sussex Police renewed their inquiry into his past offences.

Now mature men and women, victims of terrible abuse by Sally Dixon, read their victim statements to the court.

One woman claimed that her early mistreatment caused ongoing worry.

He didn’t do the right thing for once, which I had hoped he would and avoid subjecting me to the trial.

He is a coward who omitted proof.

“He was delighted to put us through it but not himself.”

Living in Crawley and Bexhill, Sally Dixon worked fixing TVs and as a DJ in nearby taverns, clubs and a camper park.

The court heard he mistreated the youngsters at a trailer on the south coast and in a lock-up garage.

Sally Dixon will serve at least 12 years in custody before qualifying for parole. He was given consecutive nine-year custodial terms with two one-year extended licenses.

‘Sally Dixon came to know these vulnerable young children successively through family contacts and used that trusted access to systematically abuse each of them for sexual gratification, in some cases for several months at a time,’ said Sussex Police Complex Abuse Unit detective Constable Amy Pooley.

Only when one of the victims finally came to us in 2019 was the horrible and upsetting nature of Sally Dixon’s offending over many years ultimately revealed.

One victim would flee this predatory desire, and another would replace her, but occasionally, some victims would be offended concurrently.

‘This case illustrates again that we will always follow up such reports, no matter how long ago the acts are supposed to have happened, to support victims and see if we can win justice for them everywhere the evidence justifies that.’

In July, Honour Judge Mark Van Der Zwart learnt Dixon lacked a gender recognition certificate and was, in fact, a man.

Though she lacks a gender recognition certificate, which lets transgender people officially be identified as an alternative gender, she will spend time at the women’s prison. She is expected to have all the same opportunities as other inmates in the jail.

UPDATE 13.12.24

We have been notified about the following:

Sussex Police have incited outrage by protecting a transgender paedophile who was imprisoned for the sexual abuse of seven youngsters.

The police stated they will not “tolerate hateful comments regarding gender” following criticism for identifying serial sex offender Sally Ann Dixon as female.

The 58-year-old received a sentence at Lewes Crown Court following her conviction for 30 counts of indecent assault against her victims.

During the seven-year period from 1989 to 1996, five girls and two boys, aged between six and 15, were subjected to abuse at various places in Crawley, Bexhill, and Icklesham.

However, the authorities asserted that the gender of the convicted perpetrator was not relevant to the series of assaults that had occurred.

In response to the comments online, they stated: “Hello, Sussex Police do not condone any hateful remarks concerning gender identity, irrespective of the crimes committed.”

“This is unrelated to the crime that has been perpetrated and examined.”

It also directed individuals to the definition of a hate crime on their website.

She reposted a tweet that had since been removed by the police.

Sussex Police have successfully incarcerated a dangerous offender. However, they have erred by engaging in identity politics and disregarding biological realities. Concentrate on apprehending offenders rather than regulating pronouns.

Dixon commenced transitioning 18 years ago, subsequent to the timeframe in which the offences occurred.

She received an 18-year prison term, with an extra two years to be served under extended supervision.

A judge mandated that a minimum of two-thirds of this sentence must be served in confinement.

Dixon will be subjected to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

She was acquitted of four counts of indecent assault.

During an appearance on LBC’s Nick Ferrari at Breakfast on Tuesday morning, newly appointed Met Commissioner Mark Rowley stated that his primary focus is on reducing crime rather than engaging in progressive agendas.

“The challenge for the police pertains to functioning impartially,” he stated.

“We must not pledge loyalty to any political cause, regardless of whether it garners 99 percent or 1 percent public support.”

“Greetings, you can acquaint yourself with the definition of hate on our website at the following link: https://t.co/2JzNUKJFxL. If you wish to articulate gender-critical perspectives, please do it on alternative platforms or your own page, rather than directing them at an individual. Sussex Constabulary”

Detective Constable Amy Pooley of the Sussex Police Complex Abuse Unit stated: “Dixon sequentially acquainted himself with these vulnerable young children through familial ties and exploited that trusted access to methodically perpetrate sexual abuse against each of them, in some instances for several months.”

“The horrific and distressing nature of Dixon’s offences, which spanned many years, was only revealed when one of the victims approached us in 2019.”

As one victim evaded this predatory attention, another would assume their position; nevertheless, at times, multiple victims would be victimised concurrently.

“This case demonstrates our unwavering commitment to investigate such reports, regardless of the elapsed time since the events occurred, in order to assist victims and pursue justice wherever the evidence warrants.”
