On Monday, Oxford Crown Court was informed that 23-year-old Sam Burton, who affixed the heads of acquaintances onto child sexual assault photographs, maintained his assertion of not being sexually attracted to minors.
Judge Nigel Daly sentenced him to 14 years in prison, with an additional four years of supervised release required thereafter.
Sam Burton will serve a minimum of two-thirds of his 14-year sentence before being eligible for release.

Prosecutor Michael Williams informed the court that Sam Burton’ egregious abuse was revealed last year when a video was discovered on his iPad, depicting him engaging in a sexual conduct in the presence of a sleeping kid.
Law enforcement officials meticulously examined the tablet computer, uncovering a substantial archive of child sexual exploitation photographs.
They presented tapes depicting him sexually assaulting an infant, explicit footage of a teenage girl with whom he had previously been involved, and manipulated images featuring the heads of children and an adult acquaintance superimposed onto victims of sexual abuse.
The evidence indicated that he was methodically scouring the internet for illicit content. Sam Burton downloaded 299 photographs and movies from category A, 211 from category B, and 471 from category C from the internet.
In pre-sentence studies compiled by a doctor and a probation officer, Burton reportedly denied possessing a sexual interest in children but could not articulate the rationale for his abusive actions.
Matthew Rowcliffe, in mitigation, stated that Sam Burton expressed remorse, had experienced depression, and was heavily using drugs at the time he committed his offences.
Sam Burton, residing on Sellwood Road in Abingdon, promptly entered a guilty plea to charges of raping a child under 13, engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor, and producing obscene photos of children.
The defendant, Sam Burton, is required to comply with a lifelong sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order.
He will remain a registered sex offender for the entirety of his life.
