After two young adolescent girls were raped, Paedophile Scott Mucklow from Camber, East Sussex, was imprisoned. Sentenced at Brighton Crown Court on Thursday, February 14, Scott Mucklow, 29, of Denham Way, Camber, will be a registered sex offender for life.
After Sussex safeguarding detectives investigated, he received a 13-year sentence.
Scott Mucklow was punished after first being found guilty of raping a 14-year-old teenage girl living at his house.
In addition, he was found guilty of three counts of rape with another female between the ages of sixteen and seventeen several years later; one of these counts came from an address close by Lydd, Kent, and the other two from his own residence.
Sussex police verified he was not guilty of a coercive and controlling offence directed against the second victim.
“Scott Mucklow had seen his first victim in the street near his home, and although several years older than her, he eventually got her to home, where he raped her,” East Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit detective Constable Paul Harrison said. She felt unable to disclose this until 2017.
“He later developed a relationship with his second victim and repeatedly raped her. She became aware of the complaint made by the first victim, though, as we spoke with Scott Mucklow about it. Initially supportive of him, once she had left that connection and considered what had occurred to her, too, she contacted us.
With their help, which included presenting evidence against him in court, we could thoroughly investigate the wrongdoing against both girls and bring him to justice.
“Scott Mucklow was an exploiter of these two young girls, predatory and authoritarian. This sentence highlights our ability to look at such individuals and assist their victims effectively.”
