An Ayr Paedophile Sean Robertson has been sentenced to over five years in prison after a jury convicted him of violently raping children.
Sean Robertson attended sentencing at the High Court in Kilmarnock last week following his conviction on one of two indictment charges related to distinct occurrences.
Sean Robertson, the 20-year-old assaulted a young female victim at a residence in Ayr in February 2022 while he was 18 years old.
Court papers stated that Sean Robertson, of Nelson Place in the Braehead area of the town, kissed the youth, made sexualised remarks towards her and pushed her onto a bed.
Sean Robertson then exposed himself to the girl, touched her in private areas, and performed sex acts on her before raping her and causing her injury.
As he appeared in the dock at Kilmarnock on Thursday, September 19, Sean Robertson was handed a custodial sentence for the offence.
Sean Robertson had also been accused of raping a different young girl at the same address around six months earlier; however, jurors cleared him of that allegation.
A judge sentenced Robertson to five years and three months imprisonment, with the jail term backdated to when he was first remanded in custody on August 16 this year.
The Ayr man, Sean Robertson, was also placed on the sex offenders register for an indefinite period and will now be liable to comply with the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
