A sex offender rapist from Stone, Shane Davis, has been found guilty on multiple sexual assault charges after a trial.

Shane Davis, 36, from Stone, entered a plea of not guilty to the charges and was subsequently tried at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, where the jury found him guilty on five counts on Tuesday, July 8.

Shane Davis exerted coercive pressure on the survivors, compelling them to engage in sexual acts involuntarily. He mistreated them from 2018 to 2023 till he was reported to us in November 2023.

Investigators diligently collected all necessary evidence to substantiate accusations against him and to assist the survivors. Shane Davis faced seven charges, comprising three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and one act of intentional strangling.

At the conclusion of his trial this week, the jury found Shane Davis guilty on five charges, comprising two counts of rape of a woman and three counts of sexual assault of a female.

Shane Davis is scheduled for sentencing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 10 September 2025.
