In Skipton, three individuals of the Skipton Grooming Gang were sentenced to a cumulative 18 years for grooming a 14-year-old girl by providing her with drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes.
On July 17, 2009, Mohammed Zackriya, aged 21, was sentenced to eight years in prison for oral rape and five counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
Father of five Mohammed Shabir was sentenced to five years in prison on three counts of engaging in sexual acts with the girl at a takeaway restaurant in the town.
Mohammed Taj was sentenced to five years in prison for three counts of engaging in sexual activity with the girl in his vehicle.
No other members of the Skipton Grooming Gang were prosecuted by the police.
