“He needs to address his behaviour. There have been no further offences. He has reduced his alcohol intake. Alcohol was a factor in this offending.” Stephen Miller had his own home improvement and maintenance business. He had a previous conviction for drink-driving.

Judge Michael Fanning told Stephen Miller: “This is not about sexual gratification. This is about power, control and humiliation and nothing else. It’s more serious for that. She felt degraded, humiliated and embarrassed.

“You were telling her that she deserved it. Although she repeatedly told you to stop doing this, it went on. Power, control and humiliation, that’s what you wanted to inflict on your victim.

“You realise that your behaviour was wrong. You have expressed disgust, behaving in the way you did. Your victim challenged you to stop and you carried on.”

Stephen Miller, of Kel Dennis Close, Eston, Middlesbrough, was jailed for two years and five months. He was given an indefinite restraining order and must register as a sex offender for 10 years.
