A Glasgow soft play establishment owner, Steven McInally the Glasgow Paedophile, who was apprehended in the United States on charges of purportedly possessing child exploitation material, is scheduled to undergo a trial.

Steven McInally, a resident of the Tollcross district in Glasgow, was apprehended at Melbourne Airport in Florida in August of the previous year following a directive from cops to unlock his mobile device. He was reportedly arrested after officials discovered an image depicting severe sexual assault of a girl estimated to be between the ages of seven and 10.

According to reports, the individual, who is 35 years old, was the owner of the Go Wild soft play unit in Bridgeton.

According to The Daily Record, Steven McInally is facing 20 charges of possessing material that depicts sexual activity with children. He has entered a plea of not guilty on all charges.

Steven McInally will appear before Judge Aaron Peacock at the Moore Justice Centre tomorrow. He is being charged with a third-degree felony in Florida, which has a potential penalty of five years.

Steven McInally has been detained since his arrest in August following the revocation of a bail bond of $1.2m (£945,000) by a judge, according to intelligence provided by US Customs and Homeland Security.

“We are liaising closely with American authorities and enquiring into any offences which may have been committed in Scotland.”

On Monday, Police Scotland confirmed they are in contact with officers in the US and are working to establish any criminality. It is unclear whether Steven McInally can be sent back to Scotland quickly or will face an extradition process after trial.
