A Metropolitan Police Officer, Swaleh Chaudhry the Sex Offender, who surreptitiously recorded a woman while she was trying on garments at a London store has received a punishment.
Swaleh Chaudhry, 36, previously admitted to committing the offence at a Primark in Wandsworth on 30 March.
He also acknowledged distinct allegations of possessing extreme pornography and holding over 1,000 indecent photos of minors.
On Friday at Kingston Crown Court, he received a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months.
Swaleh Chaudhry was additionally mandated to complete 120 hours of community service without compensation.

During a prior hearing, Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court was informed that a woman had observed Swaleh Chaudhry’s cell phone beneath the door of a changing cubicle at the South Side retail mall.
After confronting him, the former PC Swaleh Chaudhry was subsequently approached by the store’s security personnel. He was apprehended at the location and promptly suspended from his duties.
Prosecutor Suleman Hussain stated that authorities discovered “multiple videos of the defendant engaging in upskirting…and the videos clearly depict the defendant’s face”.
Subsequently, during a police search of Swaleh Chaudhry’s residence in Wandsworth, a collection of disturbing abuse photographs was discovered, as presented in court.
The court was informed that approximately 1,000 Category B and C indecent photos of minors were discovered on various devices, in addition to at least 52 images of the most severe category.
Swaleh Chaudhry earlier entered a guilty plea to one count of voyeurism, one count of having extreme pornography, and three charges of producing indecent photographs of children.
Swaleh Chaudhry has subsequently resigned from the police force.
Commander Kyle Gordon, head of the Met’s Taskforce, characterised Chaudhry’s conduct as “repugnant”.
“His actions contradict all that we represent,” he stated.
Holding the position of constable is a privilege accompanied by significant duty. He demonstrated complete unsuitability for this position and unworthiness of public confidence, hence his resignation is justified.
