A Paedophile from Huddersfield, Szymon Bildziuk, has been incarcerated for committing sexual offences against a minor. Szymon Bildziuk, aged 40, residing at Barker Court, Birkby, perpetrated an assault on the victim during the summer of 2024.
The girl subsequently reported the event, leading to Szymon Bildziuk’s arrest and charges in November.
On 20 February 2025, he appeared at Leeds Crown Court and pleaded guilty to two counts of abusing a minor under the age of 13 through inappropriate touching.
He has been condemned today to three years and three months of incarceration and will additionally be registered on the Sex Offender Register. The victim was issued an eight-year restraining order prohibiting Szymon Bildziuk from making any contact with her.
DS Olivia Connor from the Kirklees Child Safeguarding Unit said “I would like to thank the victim and her family for their courage in coming forward to report the offending so we could investigate it.
“They have shown great strength and courage during the investigation and court process.
“Szymon Bildziuk is a dangerous offender and I am glad he has now been brought to justice for his despicable crimes. I hope the victim and her family can now start to move forward with their lives.
“We would always encourage any victims of unreported sexual offending, whether recent or not, to come forward and report it to us. We have specialist officers who will support you through the process, and we handle all reports with the utmost sensitivity. We will thoroughly investigate and work to bring those responsible to justice.”
