Among the heinous acts on the victims were sexually assaulting a girl at a Cumbrian camping site. Starting when she was just eight years old, the court heard how Greater Manchester Police initially learnt of the couple’s, Tiffany Eccles and John Mills, offences in November 2021 when a teenage girl visited Bury police station with her mother to report Tiffany Eccles and John Mills for sexually abusing her for almost five years.

With John Mills often encouraging the victim to “do things” involving herself and Tiffany Eccles, engaging in sexual activity with both of them at the same time, the girl revealed in great detail multiple instances of major sexual offences committed by Tiffany Eccles and John Mills. The court also heard how John Mills became drunk when performing the crime, and throughout the abuse, it was discovered he had sexually abused the child at many sites around the North West.

Along with trying to interact sexually with her on social media, John Mills urged the victim to have sex with Tiffany Eccles and made her watch a video of Eccles having sex with one of John Mills’ friends. The victim reported the offences to the police, and the two were detained and placed under detention for inquiry into the acts.

Starting when the girl was as young as three years old, a second victim came forward following the arrest and likewise claimed significant and consistent sexual wrongdoing by Tiffany Eccles and John Mills. The girl related how John Mills would regularly want to engage in sexual activities with her. He even told her about the activity he participated in with the first victim after he sexually assaulted her for the first time.

It was clarified how Tiffany Eccles was routinely there, actively abusing the victims and pushing them to follow Mills’s demand.
