An Eastbourne Paedophile Trevor Metcalfe, who impersonated a 17-year-old to solicit sexual pictures from boys was sentenced to four years and four months in prison on Monday, December 15.
Trevor Metcalfe, 52, disseminated his extensive collection of child sexual assault photographs to others online.
Prosecutor Beverley Cripps before St Albans Crown Court that the quantity of illicit films and photos discovered by the police was ‘too extensive to evaluate.’ She stated that the number of films ranged from 10,000 to 30,000.
The majority of the photographs and films featured males aged 10 to 15, however some depicted individuals as young as five years old.
Trevor Metcalfe utilised three distinct email addresses and a Russian website to exchange and disseminate the photographs.
On July 31, 2014, officers visited an address in Hertford to communicate with Trevor Metcalfe; however, he had relocated to Eastbourne. He was apprehended in Eastbourne, and two computers were confiscated.
While on bond, he contacted the police to report that he had violated his bail conditions by downloading further photographs. A laptop and two more computers were confiscated.
Trevor Metcalfe, residing on Hurst Road in Eastbourne, admitted guilt to 23 offences: encouraging child pornography, 11 counts of disseminating indecent photos of children, and 11 counts of downloading indecent images of children.
Judge Jonathan Carroll sentenced him to a total of 52 months in prison. He is required to register as a Sex Offender for life and must comply with the stipulations of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
