Paedophile William Harrison of Shipley was sentenced for attempted abduction and trying to rape a child. Having tried to get two girls into his car in Shipley, a Bradford man has been imprisoned.

63-year-old William Harrison of Armstrong Street accepted two offences of causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and two offences of taking a child from a person having lawful care.

William Harrison approached two eight-year-old girls in the Asda store and gave them some sweets in September 2022, therefore committing the offences. Then, CCTV showed him returning to his car after checking out.

William Harrison offered them money to get in his car after showing them an obscene picture of himself on his cell phone.

Two members of the public picked the girls up and drove them home.

William Harrison received a four-year term today, Thursday, at Bradford Crown Court. Furthermore, subject to a restraining order and an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order was he. He was also registered lifetime on the Sex Offenders’ List.
