Yanick Makunga rapist sex offender Warwick Road Thornton Heath

Having attacked a woman outside her Dulwich house, a convicted Thornton Heath rapist Yanick Makunga regarded as a “danger to women” has been imprisoned.

On February 14, 2019, Yanick Makunga sexually attacked the thirty-year-old woman before demanding money and claiming he carried a weapon.

Before he left her, the 34-year-old, Yanick Makunga, Warwick Road, Thornton Heath, Croydon, marched his victim to a nearby retailer where she took money from an ATM.

Yanick Makunga was waiting, nevertheless, when the victim got home.

She fled and headed to a relative’s house, calling the police.

Yanick Makunga pilfers the woman’s cell phone during the event, which features a “find device” app.

This let police monitor the gadget, and within an hour after the incident, they captured Yanick Makunga on George Street, Croydon.

Yanick Makunga turned out to have other valuables belonging to the victim when searched.

Following the attack, the lady got help from specialised police.

At Inner London Crown Court on March 15, Yanick Makunga acknowledged false imprisonment, robbery, an offence with intent to conduct a sexual offence and possession of cannabis.

The court was informed that Yanick Makunga had been found guilty of rape in 2009.

On June 25, Yanick Makunga was imprisoned in the same court for five years and 57 days.
