A 24-year-old sex offender from Lewisham, Zevenor Gordon, has received a prison sentence of JUST one year and four months [6 SEPERATE SEXUAL ASSAULTS, ONE OF WHICH WAS ON A CHILD – NOT BAD HUH?] for sexually assaulting six women on trains in London.
After an investigation by the British Transport Police, Zevenor Gordon of Glenton Road, Lewisham, admitted guilt to six charges of Sexual Assault before Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday, June 5.
He received a 16-month prison sentence, a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), and is required to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years.
The SHPO prohibits him from approaching, gesturing, or engaging in any behaviour that may cause harassment, alarm, distress, or intimidation to a woman or girl in public spaces or on public transportation, and he is barred from entering any female public restrooms.
Between December 2023 and March 2024, Zevenor Gordon sexually assaulted six women on six distinct occasions.
On Saturday, December 9, 2023, a 27-year-old woman was in route to Dalston Junction when Zevenor Gordon attempted to converse with her before perpetrating a sexual assault.
On Thursday, December 14, Zevenor Gordon trailed a woman in her fifties as she disembarked from the tube at Dalston Junction, subsequently sexually assaulting her before reboarding the tube.
On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, Zevenor Gordon perpetrated a sexual assault against a woman in her mid-twenties on the platform of Baker Street station.
On Monday, 26 February, a 32-year-old lady was sexually attacked by Zevenor Gordon while traversing London Bridge station.
On Monday, 11 March, a young girl in her school uniform was sexually assaulted by Zevenor Gordon while she was boarding the tube at Cutty Sark station.
Merely two days later, he sexually attacked another woman in her early twenties at Cutty Sark station while she was awaiting the tube on the platform.
Zevenor Gordon was apprehended at his residence subsequent to affirmative identification verifications by law enforcement officials.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Gemma Lee said “Despite Zevenor Gordon running away after each sexual assault thanks to our fast acting officers we were able to ID him and bring him to justice.
“It is testament to the six victims who supported this case and by reporting their crimes that helped to build the picture of Zevenor Gordon’s predatory behaviour.
“The Sexual Harm Prevention Order should act as a warning to others that we take all reports of sexual offences and unwanted sexual behaviour seriously and will support victims throughout our investigations.”
