David Hillhouse Penilee Glasgow Sex Offender

A cruel sex offender carer from Glasgow’s Penilee district, David Hillhouse, who sexually abused three elderly men at an institution has been imprisoned.

David Hillhouse, 32, was arrested after a harrowing account of his experience was relayed by a 92-year-old victim to her granddaughter.

The offender exploited two elderly adults, aged 71 and 66, at a care institution in Glasgow from 2017 to 2022.

The sheriff court of the city was notified that David Hillhouse committed the egregious conduct while attending to personal hygiene and aiding males in the restroom.

Prosecutor Ryan Watson commented on the deceased elderly victim: “The man gestured with his hands.”

He desired that David Hillhouse be estranged from him. The victim’s granddaughter reported that he was deeply troubled, crying and overwhelmed with sadness.

“He experienced physical ailments, yet there were no concerns regarding his mental faculties.”

The 71-year-old victim, now deceased, was assaulted by David Hillhouse while obtaining assistance on his bed to use the toilet.

Mr. Watson informed the court that a nurse observed the attack after momentarily exiting a room to retrieve cleaning equipment.

He stated, “She returned and observed the man positioned face down, with half of his visage resting on a pillow.” David Hillhouse stood by him. “She was appalled by what she witnessed.”

The defendant had been persistently engaging in inappropriate physical contact with the man, the court was informed.

A former colleague reported witnessing David Hillhouse sexually attack the 66-year-old resident during a cleaning demonstration.

David Hillhouse, hailing from Glasgow’s Penilee district, was found guilty by a jury of assaulting one individual and of maltreating and intentionally ignoring two others.

Sheriff Tony Kelly postponed the sentencing until July and ordered him to remain in detention.

David Hillhouse, no longer employed in the care industry, was placed on the sex offenders registry.
