Aaron Batchelor, a documented Peterborough Paedophile, was apprehended for violating a court order by supervising a nine-year-old child alone.
Aaron Batchelor, 23, was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) following his 2015 conviction for the creation and possession of obscene pictures of minors.
Aaron Batchelor, from Peterborough, was apprehended following the boy’s mother’s discovery of his prior offences.
He admitted guilt at Peterborough Crown Court for violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order and received a 16-month prison sentence.
Tuesday’s hearing was told Aaron Batchelor, of Wootton Avenue, was also put on the sex offenders register in 2015.
In July this year, Aaron Batchelor exchanged messages on social media with a 16-year-old boy and later stayed at his home overnight, where he lived with his nine-year-old brother.
The court heard that on 31 July, Aaron Batchelor, was left at the property to look after the younger boy by himself.
Aaron Batchelor was arrested on 3 August by officers from the Public Protection Unit after the boys’ mother read media coverage of Aaron Batchelor’s previous conviction for breaching his notification requirements.
Det Con Jim Howard said: “I would like to thank the woman who came forward after reading about Aaron Batchelor in the media. It is crucial that members of the public continue to help us in bringing these people to justice.”
