The Grove Hill Paedophile, Araz Khdir, was labelled a dangerous predator after he pursued and sexually assaulted a teenager in a remote woodland location.
The married delivery driver, Araz Khdir, circled the streets in search of a target before identifying the 14-year-old girl walking home.
Araz Khdir, 40, reversed his vehicle to pursue her and concealed himself before initiating the savage assault near Ormesby Road in Normanby.
She managed to break free and called her mother, who ran to meet her “distraught” daughter and contacted police.
Araz Khdir’s hat was found at the scene, and CCTV showed him prowling the streets. He had tape and gloves in the boot of his car.
A judge said the girl would never forget the night of February 17 last year.
Araz Khdir, of Marton Grove Road, Grove Hill, Middlesbrough, denied the offences and was found guilty of sexual assault after a trial last November.
Araz Khdir was jailed for 11 years at Newcastle Crown Court, plus four years’ extended licence.
