The Bradley Amphlett Brinsley Paedophile, Bradley Amphlett, a teacher, has been incarcerated following the establishment of a sexual relationship with a student.
Bradley Amphlett initially engaged in a romantic encounter with the girl in a classroom at their school. As their connection progressed, he subsequently made arrangements to reserve a hotel room in Nottingham, where the two individuals engaged in sexual activity.
The friendship commenced when the student sought Bradley Amphlett’s assistance following the experience of examination-induced stress. He repeatedly kissed her throughout the week, and they exchanged numerous messages after she departed from the school.
Subsequently, the relationship advanced as the couple opted to spend the night in a hotel.
The incident was brought to attention when the girl confided in a friend, who promptly reported it to the police and the school.
Bradley Amphlett, a 27-year-old resident of Cordy Lane, Brinsley, was apprehended and later accused of participating in sexual action with a minor, engaging in sexual correspondence with a minor, and meeting a minor after grooming.
Bradley Amphlett confessed to committing the crimes and attended Nottingham Crown Court for his sentencing on 3 September, when he received a prison sentence of three years and eight months. In addition, he was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and is required to register as a sex offender.
Detective Constable Trevor Allt, who led the investigation, said: “As a teacher, Bradley Amphlett was in a position of trust, and he abused that by taking advantage of this young girl who simply went to him for support with exam stress.
“Bradley Amphlett was well aware of her age and the inappropriate nature of this relationship but carried on regardless, and his behaviour and actions will continue to impact her for some time to come.
“I’d like to praise her for her bravery and courage in supporting the investigation and throughout the court process. I’m pleased he is now in prison for these crimes.”
