A 28-year-old Fife Paedophile, Brandon Robb, has received a seven-year prison sentence after being convicted of historical sexual offences against minors and domestic offences in Fife.
Brandon Robb was found guilty on Thursday, February 6, 2025, after a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.
He was indefinitely registered as a sex offender at his sentencing at the same court, receiving a 20-year non-harassment order and an additional six years of supervision upon his release.
The offences occurred between 2011 and 2023. Robb was caught and charged in August 2023.
Detective Sergeant Alasdair Young stated: “Brandon Robb is a violent individual and sexual predator who exploited and abused children.” I trust that today they find solace in the knowledge that their abuser is incarcerated while they go with their lives.
“Investigating past events can present challenges and sometimes, only with hindsight, do people recognise what happened to them was abuse.
“Police Scotland has highly trained specialist officers across the country who investigate such offences and working with partners we ensure perpetrators are brought to justice.
“We are committed to investigating all reports of abuse regardless of when it happened, where it took place or who was involved. We will listen, we will investigate, and we will take prompt action to ensure no-one else is at risk of harm. We would ask anyone wishing to make a report to contact us by phoning 101.”
UPDATE 12.07.25
A convicted paedophile who recorded his canines hunting and murdering wildlife has been sentenced to one year in prison and prohibited from possessing animals for life.
Brandon Robb, 28, was sentenced at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court after acknowledging a series of wildlife violations.
Footage obtained from Robb’s phones depicted his two Lurcher dogs being incited to assault deer, rabbits, hares, a fox cub, wild birds, and domestic cats.
Robb, apprehended after disseminating film on social media, is currently serving a seven-year sentence for multiple sexual assaults on minors in Fife.
The maltreatment of two girls and a boy, the youngest being at eight years old, occurred in the town of Leslie from 2011 to 2015 while Robb was a teenager.
Robb’s animal offences occurred from August to November 2022 in wooded and agricultural areas of Fife and Kinross, predominantly during nighttime.
Certain phone footage presented to the court depicted him commanding his canines to assault animals.
In one footage, a cat is depicted struggling to cling on a branch, while in another, Robb presents the gory carcass of a cat that had been assaulted by his dogs.
Police Scotland reported that in another video, a heron is struck with a catapult and a dog is commanded to assault it.
Additional footage saw two dogs pursuing and ultimately killing a roe deer. A dog is observed carrying a hare in its mouth.
In other films, the dogs are observed with blood on their muzzles, while Robb commends them for their behaviour.
Robb was reported to law enforcement following a member of the public viewing his films on social media.
A police check of his residence uncovered goods including flashlights, a set of binoculars, and a hunting knife.
Robb was additionally found guilty of assaulting one of the policemen during his apprehension.
Con Ben Pacholek, a wildlife crime officer of Police Scotland, stated that the offences were among the most egregious he had ever encountered.
He stated, “Robb bragged about the capabilities of his dogs and revelled in the torment inflicted upon the animals he commanded them to attack.” His conduct was reprehensible.
Iain Batho, the head of wildlife crime at the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, stated: “Brandon Robb’s actions were devoid of purpose or motive, serving solely to satisfy his own inclination to cause pain and suffering to innocent animals.”
Robb possessed 21 prior convictions and had been incarcerated for offences related to animals.
He was incarcerated in 2014 after confessing to employing his dog to pursue a rare piebald deer.
This occurred while he awaited sentencing for a separate animal offence involving the theft of 30 ducks from a farm in Fife.
Robb has been permanently prohibited from possessing or maintaining animals.
