An aberrant St Thomas Paedophile from Exeter, Charles Kirkby, has been incarcerated for molesting a girl during a sexual assault.
Charles Kirkby, residing on Church Road in St Thomas, has received a sentence of two and a half years at Exeter Crown Court.
He admitted guilt to two charges of sexually abusing a kid under the age of 13.
During the sentence hearing, the court was informed of Charles Kirkby’s assault of the girl on a date in 2024.
Following the girl’s courageous disclosure to her mother, law enforcement was summoned, resulting in Charles Kirkby’s arrest that evening.
The judge stated that the victim had suffered a “horrific ordeal” and would bear the shame for the remainder of his life.
The court was informed that the charges involved 39-year-old Charles Kirkby placing his hand on the girl’s leg and caressing her over her undergarments.
Charles Kirkby attempted to fondle her breasts, enquiring, “Do you desire it?”
The victim successfully escaped and sought assistance.
Charles Kirkby originally refrained from making any spoken remarks to the police and disputed the offences in a written statement.
Upon examining his phone, the police discovered that he had accessed pornography both prior to and subsequent to the incident. “Warren Robinson stated that his interest in pornography is considerable.”
The victim stated that she feels “overwhelmed, lifeless, and hollow inside.” The encounter has rendered her traumatised.
Judge Stephen Climie characterised Charles Kirkby’s conduct against an innocent youngster as disgraceful.
Charles Kirkby will be required to register as a sex offender for life and is subject to a sexual harm prevention order to oversee his conduct upon release.
