Craig Marshall paedophile child sex offender - Birmingham

Craig Marshall, a paedophile sexual predator from Birmingham has been imprisoned for past child sexual offences.

Craig Marshall, a resident of Birmingham, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after entering a guilty plea at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday, September 6.

Marshall, 40, admitted guilt to 17 charges of child sexual assault, including attempted rape.

The charges originate from the period between 2008 and 2014; however, the victim courageously reported the incident in 2021, leading to Craig Marshall’s arrest.

The victim recounted the impact it has had on her entire youth and its ongoing effects into her adulthood.

District of Columbia Beth Felton of the Public Protection Unit stated, “The impact on the victim should not be underestimated.” She has demonstrated remarkable courage and resilience throughout the process.

“This case was historic, and the prison sentence reflects that. If an incident is historic, this is not a barrier to achieving a positive outcome for the victim, and we want to encourage anyone who is a survivor of sexual abuse to report it.

“We have a team of specialist officers to help you and to guide you through the legal process.

“We also work with various support groups that can offer advice.

“This victim bravely came forward to speak with officers, and I hope that it will encourage other sexual abuse survivors to do the same.”

It is important to note that survivors of sexual offences are protected by law and have life-long anonymity.
