A 34-year-old Kettering Paedophile, Daniel Sheen, has been incarcerated for nearly five years for transmitting sexual communications online to a girl he believed to be 12 years old.
From March 14 to April 22 of the previous year, Daniel Sheen, formerly of Kettering, transmitted sexual messages to two individuals he presumed to be young girls, aged 12 and 13.
The discussions occurred on Kik and Snapchat, during which Daniel Sheen requested the “girls” to give him nude photographs.
What he was unaware of, however, was that the “girls” Daniel Sheen was conversing with were, in fact, police officers.
Daniel Sheen was apprehended and then indicted for attempting to violate a sexual harm prevention order, attempting to get a female kid aged 13 to participate in sexual activity—without penetration—and attempting to engage in sexual correspondence with a minor.
Following his guilty plea to the charges at Northampton Crown Court in April of the previous year, Daniel Sheen reappeared at the same court on March 24, where he received a sentence of four years and nine months imprisonment.
Lead investigator Detective Sergeant Iona Channer stated, “I am gratified to see Daniel Sheen incarcerated, as it enhances the safety of our county.”
This outcome is commendable, and I trust that this activity will reassure our local community that we do not passively await these individuals; rather, we actively seek them out.
“We will persist in our efforts to hold more individuals like Daniel Sheen accountable.”
