In June 2021, at a location in Gravesend, Darrell McArdle assaulted the victim by repeatedly striking her in the head, and when she began to weep, he persisted in his agony, ultimately extracting a tooth from her mouth. On 21 November 2023, Darrell McArdle assaulted the second victim by entering the Maidstone residence of a former lover twice.
He struck her in the face multiple times during an incident that also involved the victim being restrained on a sofa and asphyxiated. Darrell McArdle, 24, of The Orchard, Swanley, was apprehended in the subsequent weeks as part of an investigation conducted by the West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team and entered a plea of guilty to charges of controlling and coercive behaviour, as well as two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
On Monday, April 29, 2024, Darrell McArdle received a two-year prison sentence. He was also subjected to a five-year restraining order concerning one of the victims.
