Henry Devine paedophile rapist child sex offender - Tooting

An elderly Tooting Paedophile, Henry Devine, convicted of multiple child sexual sexual offences has been incarcerated.

Henry Devine was arrested in February 2021 on charges of child molestation. During the investigation of the claims, Cleveland Police confiscated many electronic devices owned by the 72-year-old individual and uncovered more than 1,600 explicit photographs of youngsters.

Several photographs were categorised as ‘severe’ child abuse. The convicted paedophile, known as Norton, made an appearance at Teesside Crown Court on Friday. He received his sentence after being found guilty of committing sexual assault and possessing indecent photos of youngsters.

Henry Devine was found guilty after a three-day trial in mid-May at Teesside Magistrates’ Court. He faced six charges, including three counts of sexual assault and three counts of collecting indecent photos of children. Upon appearing at Teesside Magistrates’ Court, he was given a 30-month prison sentence.

According to Detective Constable Gemma Allan, who is handling the CAVA (Child Abuse and Vulnerable Adult) case, the young victim was quite upset by Henry Devine’s conduct. We immediately acted to protect the youngster after receiving the report. Despite the victim’s bravery, they provided officers with a detailed report, enabling us to initiate our investigations promptly and efficiently.

“I anticipate that today’s outcome will reassure that Devine will be incarcerated and subjected to closely monitored limitations on his release.” According to Detective Chief Inspector Matt Murphy-King of CAVA, Henry Devine’s conduct was highly condemnable. Our primary focus, as is the case with all our investigations, was to ensure the safety and protection of the victim while collaborating with the CPS to prosecute the offender in court.

CAVA’s proficient and specifically trained officers will consistently conduct a comprehensive, expert, and empathetic investigation against individuals who intend to inflict damage and exploit vulnerable individuals. Any form of abuse, whether recently or in the past, can be reported to Cleveland Police at any time, either through their website or by calling the 101 number.
