A Carlisle Paedophile, Jacob Corrie, has been sentenced today (April 16) for many sexual crimes at Carlisle Crown Court. Jacob Corrie, 31, received a sentence of six years and four months after admitting admission to the specified charges.
- Nine counts of sexual activity with a child
- Eight counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity
- Two counts of sexual communication with a child
The offences took place in the Carlisle area in 2013 and 2014 against two victims under 16.
Detective Constable Rebecca Lynch from Cumberland CID said “Jacob Corrie initially denied the offences in interview, before pleading guilty and was aware of his victims ages when he committed the offences.
“We hope that this sentencing sends a clear message to survivors of sexual abuse.
“As a force we are committed to thoroughly and compassionately investigating all reports of rape and serious sexual offences, no matter how much time has passed.
“We continue to urge anyone who has been victim of a sexual offence to contact police so that our officers can investigate. You will be supported throughout our investigation which is tailored to an individual’s circumstances.”
