One former West Mercia Paedophile Police officer, Jamie Bunting, has been accused of producing offensive pictures of youngsters.
Jamie Bunting, 26, of Westminster Close, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, is set to appear at Telford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow after being charged with three charges of creating indecent pictures.
The court was informed he had 80 category B and 43 category C photographs in addition to 26 category A images, which show the most heinous child sex assault.
Stored on three different devices, his collection of sick material—which accumulated over more than two years from July 5, 2021, until July 30 last year—made up 41 films and 108 still images.
Jamie Bunting reportedly had retired from the force earlier this year and had previously worked with cadets.
“The charges follow an investigation, which started in September 2023, by West Mercia Police’s Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team and relates to non-contact offences,” stated a West Mercia Police statement.
Jamie Bunting has scheduled an appearance before Telford Magistrates Court.
Employed initially at Kidderminster Police Station and a cadet leader for North Worcestershire Volunteer Police Cadets, the 26-year-old left the force earlier this year.
Unbelievably West Mercia Police stated: “West Mercia Police scrupulously follows policies and procedures regarding safeguarding volunteer police cadets and works closely with the National Volunteer Police Cadet Safeguarding and Standards hub. In our opinion, this hasn’t been compromised.
“A charge of making indecent images can include downloading an image from a website, receiving an image from a social media app or opening an email including such an image.”
