Another serving Met officer, Jamie Gordon, has been charged with attempted rape and sexual assault.
Superintendent Jamie Gordon, attached to the South East Command Unit, was charged on Monday, 4 November. He was bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 4 December.
The alleged offences were reported by one woman who said they had taken place on 8 December and 19 December 2023, when the officer was off duty.
He was arrested on 19 January 2024 and suspended from duty on full pay.

A high-ranking officer of the Metropolitan Police, Jamie Gordon, has been arraigned on charges of attempted rape and sexual assault.
Superintendent Jamie Gordon, 41, is accused of assaulting a lady while off duty on December 8 and 19, 2023.
Jamie Gordon was apprehended on January 19 of the subsequent year and suspended from the South East Command Unit of the force.
The bearded cop attended Southwark Crown Court on Friday, clad in a black suit, pink tie, and grey overcoat, where he refuted the sexual assault charge from December 19.
He was not requested to submit pleas for the purported attempted rape or the sexual assault that occurred on December 8. All three offences are reported to have occurred against the same victim, whose identity is protected for legal reasons, in Sutton, South London.
Jamie Gordon, from Rochester, Kent, was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at the same court on February 11.
