John Carpenter, the Barnet Paedophile, was imprisoned for a crime he committed against a girl in Binfield, Berkshire in the 1980s John Carpenter, 66, from Windsor Drive, was imprisoned for three years, with one year of licence granted at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, 22 November.
John Carpenter was judged guilty of one count of indecent assault on the girl following a two-week trial by a jury.
Five counts of indecent assault against two other girls during the 1980s and 1990s and one case of indecency with a child against the same victim.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Hannah Broughton of Force CID said: “I would like to thank all the victims and witnesses involved in this investigation.
“They have shown incredible strength and courage to contact the police and support our investigation.
“I am pleased that John Carpenter will serve three years in jail, with an additional year on licence.
“He will also be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for an indefinite period.
“This case demonstrates that Thames Valley Police take all reports of rape and sexual assault seriously, and we have specially trained officers available to help.
