The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office initiated a thorough investigation into, the Douglas Pedophile, 28-year-old Juan Delgado, following grave claims of child sexual assault. Allegations emerged when a report was sent in the early hours of June 10, 2025, regarding activities that allegedly transpired over several years at a property in the area.
Deputies attended to a report concerning a minor who revealed both historical and recent occurrences of sexual abuse. In the preliminary phases of the inquiry, the juvenile victim disclosed that Juan Delgado had perpetrated abuse against her, allegedly commencing in the fifth grade and persisting until her adolescence. The latest occurrence is purported to have transpired on June 5, 2025.
The victim stated that she had previously refrained from disclosing the abuse owing to a lack of comprehension of the crime and apprehensions regarding potential ramifications. She decided to come forward upon discovering that a relative had also purportedly endured similar abuse by Juan Delgado.
In later interviews, detectives questioned Juan Delgado, who confessed to touching both girls when they were around 12 years old with the intention of arousing them. Juan Delgado also admitted to sexually assaulting one of the girls when she was slightly over 12 years old.
As a result of the investigation, Juan Delgado has been charged with two counts of child molestation and one count of first-degree rape. He remains in custody at the Coffee County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
