A 23-year-old Kettering Paedophile, Lewis Morgan-Wright, has been given an extended sentence totalling 25 years after he was found guilty of 12 child sex offences.

Lewis Morgan-Wright, previously of Kettering, was reported to Northamptonshire Police on November 15, 2022, after a young girl under the age of 10 confided in a trusted adult that Morgan-Wright had raped her.

An investigation was launched which uncovered that Lewis Morgan-Wright had been abusing her for some time and had also committed repeated sexual offences against another young girl.

His phone was also seized which when examined, showed that he had used it to access indecent images of children, of which 18 were Category A – the most serious.

Lewis Morgan-Wright was charged with 17 offences in total and in February the case was heard in a 10-day trial at Northampton Crown Court.

On February 20, the jury found him guilty on 12 counts – three counts of rape of a child under 13, two counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration, four counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, and three counts of making indecent photographs of a child.

Today (Friday, April 11) Lewis Morgan-Wright returned to the same court where he was given an extended sentence made up of 20 years’ imprisonment and a further five years on licence.

Extended sentences are used for criminals convicted of specific offences who are deemed to be dangerous.
